Whether it's children exploring, parents laughing together, or quiet moments in between, we focus on documenting your family's story as it unfolds. We also photograph every session using both digital cameras and professional 35mm and medium format film, creating images with a timeless look that never goes out of style.



What is documentary family photography?

Documentary family photography focuses on real moments instead of perfectly posed ones.

Rather than directing every movement, we give gentle guidance while allowing your family to play, explore, laugh, and simply spend time together. The result is a gallery filled with authentic expressions and genuine memories.



Should we have our family photos taken at home or outdoors?

Both are wonderful options. Outdoor sessions highlight the beauty of the North Carolina mountains and provide plenty of room for children to explore. In-home sessions create intimate photographs that capture your family's everyday life in the place where so many memories are made.

We use both 35mm and medium format film alongside digital photography because each medium brings something unique to your gallery, it completes your story. Together, they create photographs that feel nostalgic while remaining true to life.
