Two main reasons why couples love this venue. The first reason is the space. There is something special about celebrating your wedding in a wide open space. The Farm gives couples room to slow down, take in the mountain views, and spend time with the people they love most. In the end this is what weddings are all about. Unlike venues that can feel crowded or confined, The Farm A Gathering Place offers expansive fields, beautiful countryside views, and a sense of freedom that creates a relaxed and welcoming wedding day experience. Whether you're planning an intimate gathering or a large celebration, the property feels spacious while still maintaining a warm and inviting atmosphere. It's a space that allows you to breathe and be yourself. Also, the food is incredible, and everything is very accessible. All of these amazing photo locations are less than five minutes away by golf cart. A huge thanks to Melissa and her team for making Josh and Alex's wedding memorable.


The second reason is the beautiful outdoor location that works so well with photography, especially film photography. There was a lot of film used during this wedding, and I am so glad Josh and Alex asked me to use more film. Film photography thrives in natural environments like this, and The Farm A Gathering Place is one of my favorite Asheville wedding venues for capturing weddings on film. I have mentioned in the past how film loves light and natural environments. The open skies, rolling fields, natural greenery, and soft mountain light create beautiful tones that film reproduces effortlessly. Throughout the day, the venue receives gorgeous natural light that adds depth and dimension to photographs while maintaining the timeless look that couples love about film photography. Wherever you are present and enjoying yourself. But to be more specific, for getting ready outside the cottages offer great light and plenty of space during the middle of the day. For portraits are best when there is soft evening light around the barn. There is also an open filed that would be great for portraits as well, but the venues has many locations that have plenty of space around the barn for family and portraits photos.

The Farm is beautiful year-round. Spring offers fresh greenery and blooming flowers. Summer provides long days and vibrant landscapes. Fall brings colorful mountain foliage. Winter creates a peaceful and romantic atmosphere.
