M & K
As Asheville-based film wedding photographers, we've photographed weddings all across North Carolina, and this wedding at the Morehead Inn was one we'll never forget.
Charlotte rarely sees significant snowfall, but on this wedding day, a mini winter storm rolled through the city. Snowflakes began falling just before the ceremony and continued throughout the evening, transforming the entire property into a winter wonderland this day felt like something out of a movie.
If I had to describe the Morehead Inn in a few words, I would say is one of the most unique wedding venues in Charlotte, NC. Located just minutes from Uptown Charlotte, the historic estate combines Southern elegance with intimate charm.
For all the couples planning their wedding I recommend to always have a back up plan and a great time. The reality is that the weather is unpredictable in most areas in North Carolina. I talk about the unexpected weather on another one of my blogs but it's true! Most couples spend months planning every detail of their wedding day, but sometimes the unexpected becomes the most memorable part. This is where a good team of wedding vendors comes in handy. Lauren and her team did an incredible job planning and preparing for this wedding.
Also Max & Katie embraced the weather completely. Instead of worrying about changing plans, they leaned into the experience and trusted that the day would unfold exactly as it was meant to. While the snowfall was stunning, what we remember most are the people. The laughter during toasts. Family members gathering near fireplaces to stay warm. Guests looking out the windows as snow covered the city. The excitement every time someone realized it was still snowing outside. That's the beauty of documentary wedding photography. The focus isn't just on how the wedding looked—it's about preserving how it felt.

If you are planing a wedding at the Morehead Inn we would love to meet you and hear about your vision and your plans.
